Mr. Spradlin began his carrier in telecommunications in 1991 with Southwestern Bell Telephone (now AT&T) working in the network installation and repair area responsible for the downtown business districts in Dallas, Texas. He gained progressive experience by advancing over the next few years through management positions in outside network as well as credit/collection, service order activation and customer operations in both the Telephone Company and Southwestern Bell’s largest wireless market in Chicago. Prior to leaving SBC, Mr. Spradlin was responsible for all customer operations functions for SBC’s Cellular One Chicago market including development of a centralized universal agent call center of over 300 representatives. Mr. Spradlin received an invitation to join the MobiLink alliance of carriers as a director responsible for developing new and innovative solutions to telecommunications problems for the group made up of carriers across North America including GTE/Bell Atlantic (Verizon), SBC/AirTouch/Bell South (Cingular), and Mobility Canada. During his tenure with MobiLink, Mr. Spradlin was responsible for the development of telecommunications solutions for the carrier alliance including his invention of a routing method for wireless calls (US Patent No.5,946,623) currently in use by the majority of wireless carriers across North America. Mr. Spradlin eventually converted the MobiLink alliance into a private company, Ranger Wireless Solutions, and expanded the development of advanced features and services for telecommunications carriers and internal billing systems for long distance usage. Mr. Spradlin has since sold his interests in Ranger and is now focused solely on taking his extensive experience inside telecommunications companies and working to help individual business customers understand their telecommunications needs and reduce their on-going telecommunications costs. Mr. Spradlin holds a Bachelors Degree in Business from Transylvania University as well as a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Kentucky. |
